Elements of EBM, industrial dub, darkwave, breakbeat, and even jazz are deconstructed and fused into an unpredictable, organic sonic journey. Across two chapters — La Escorpiona and Guateque Punk — Cabañas presents not just tracks, but a sonic manifesto that challenges categorization and expectation.
Beyond Music: Sound as Personal and Political Reinvention
Estado de Bienestar is more than a new moniker — it’s a full-fledged reinvention born from a period of personal transformation. Following the closure of previous projects Synths Versus Me and Almax und Forte, Cabañas now embraces a raw, analog-driven “proto” sound, leaning into the visceral and unfiltered.
